Originally opened in May 1985, Queen Square Imaging Centre was the first direct referral MRI unit in the UK, providing a service for all clinical specialities.

Because of our close links with the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, we have considerable experience in all aspects of neurological MRI and in particular MR Angiography. We also have significant skills in orthopaedic, foetal and vascular imaging. Our Stroke Clinic encompasses MRI, MRA, Carotid Doppler Ultrasound to enable patients to have all neurological imaging needs met at the same time in the same place.

Queen Square Imaging Centre also offers a clinical Functional MRI service. The technique enables clear differentiation of motor and/ or speech areas relating to pathological lesion location, thereby enhancing surgical outcome.
