MRI
Persons not suitable for MRI.
Because of the strong magnetic field strength used, MRI is not
suitable for anyone with:
- a Cardiac Pacemaker
- Neural stimulators
- Cochlear implants
- certain types of body implants
- certain types of body piercing
- certain types of Aneurysm clips
- first trimester of pregnancy
If you are unsure whether the above applies to you, please contact
us directly or speak to your doctor. Prior to the scan you can eat
and drink as normal and continue to take any medications-this will
not affect the imaging.
